Photography as a Massive Medium for Thought

Photography as a means of expression has been a determining factor for social development in all senses, since its birth, photography is part of everyday life, having the ability to express desires, needs or evidence of some event, it gives the possibility to interpret social events in its own way.
Its power to reproduce the external reality also gives it the ability to possess a documentary character, it has been implicated by the various media as a fundamental tool for evidencing or documenting the information that is disseminated.
At present, the dissemination of information in the audiovisual media has had an essential influence on humanity, since it is accompanied by the use of an infinite number of images, images which do nothing but support the content of the information but which impressively give unparalleled visibility and credibility.

As part of non-verbal communication, photographs are favoured by their use in the mass media. Today, they are reproduced by billions of people at will and can be found everywhere: such as pages of newspapers, magazines, books, catalogues, exhibits, billboards, business windows, posters, and those broadcast on TV and the internet.
Photographs inside the mass media have made the faces of thousands of people, political leaders, athletes and any number of family celebrities to the public. When an important news story happens, journalists are present to record the event. Photos allow you to capture in a single frame all the moments that illustrate or reveal your information to be published.
The implications and facts involved in seeing a picture or the habit of seeing it wherever we look, give us a sufficiently clear sample to realize the real importance that photography plays for all kinds of artistic expression. It is enough to look around to realize that each one has a different context, a different meaning, that although on many occasions the shots have been planned to exclusive use of advertising, many others have been captured at key moments that denote some social meaning and that, in the same way, are used for advertising, political or social purposes.
